Graduated with a Bashelor’s Degree in Percussion, Performance and Percussion Pedagogy in 2013 from the Music Conservatoire “Amadeo Roldan” started his career as a Percussion Teacher at the “Alejandro Garcia Caturla” Music School in Havana, Cuba. Since 2013 Mr. Carlos worked as a percussion teacher as well as a piano teacher to High School level students. He has conducted as well several music workshops focused on the Afro-Cuban percussion.

As a professional performer, Mr. Carlos has had the oportunity to be part of excellent and pretigious bands and institutions in Cuba. From 2011 to 2013 he was part of the National Youth Simphonic Orchestra. He has also performed as a drummer for numerous Jazz Festivals in Havana as well lead drummer for the well known band “Gerardo Alfonso”. In 2012 was awarded the Great Prize at the JoJazz (Young Jazz Players) festival as a composer and a special recognition from the jury on his band performance

Since 2019 Mr. Carlos has been a percussion and piano teacher at Classic Music & Arts Institute and Playtunes Institute of Music achieving exellent results while prepearing students, kids and adults for their exams using our current programs from Trinity College of London and London College of Music.
Mr. Carlos knowledge of Cuban percussion has helped him grow a great number of students interested in learning more about Latin Percussion and Latin Music in general.
